Florida Teacher Certification Exams (FTCE)
The purpose of the Florida Teacher Certification examinations (FTCE) is to ensure that all teacher candidates demonstrate the necessary content and pedagogical knowledge necessary to effectively instruct students in Florida.
Passing scores are automatically reported to the Florida Department of Education on your behalf. Non-passing scores are not reported.
Exams are valid for ten (10) years, unless otherwise noted.
Most exams are a single test while others have multiple subtests, an example of which is the Elementary Education (K-6) exam. To earn a passing status, all subtests must be passed.
