    It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Southside Elementary...home of the Li'l Pirates! We are pleased that you have taken the time to visit our website. Southside is a wonderful place for children to learn and grow. It is our mission to "positively empower each other to make good choices, to become life-long learners and responsible model citizens." We invite you to visit Southside Elementary to meet our fabulous staff and see the awesome things our students are learning.

    Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

    We will be celebrating Read Across America and Dr. Seuss' birthday the week of March 1-5.  Each day there will be themed activities based on Dr. Seuss books that your child can participate in if they wish.  

    Monday, March 1st- Fox In Socks- Wear crazy socks to school. 

    Tuesday, March 2nd- Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!  Cat in the Hat- Wear black, stripes, cat hats, etc.

    Wednesday, March 3rd- Wacky Wednesday- Wear wacky/ mismatched outfits and/or wacky hair.

    Thursday, March 4th- Green Eggs and Ham- Wear green.

    Friday, March 5th- I Am Not Going To Get Up Today- Pajama Day. Wear dress code appropriate pajamas to school.  No slippers please!

    Meals are still FREE for ALL students. If your child attends one of our schools - breakfast and lunch are free at their school. If your child attends another school or is involved in distance learning, meals will continue to be available once a week at one of our drive thru sites. You still need to pre-order each week at least 24 hours in advance of your pick up time.

    Volunteer Applications

    We appreciate our volunteers and can’t wait to have you back on our campus.  Once the volunteer restrictions are lifted, we will be contacting our approved volunteers for involvement opportunities.  If you are interested in being a volunteer please visit our website:
