A Message from the Principal
Good Evening Trailblazer Families,
We are off to a strong start in the 20-21 school year at WES! Thank you for sharing your children with us and for your help with our important safety protocols.
Your children have probably shared with you that our Activity classes began just after Labor Day. Students see the Media Specialist, Music and P.E. teachers each week. Last week, we began an Open Library schedule so that students are able to exchange and check out books on a regular basis.
This upcoming week, we will host our Open House. It will be an Open House week. This year, it will be by appointment only, so please be sure you have scheduled an appointment with your child's classroom teacher. Students and teachers will review students' data notebooks with you. You are in for a treat, and we're excited to see you here!
Progress Reports will be live on Wednesday, September 23rd. They will only be available electronically through the Focus portal. Please let your child's teacher know if you need assistance accessing your child's progress report.
This week, we will also host a virtual book fair! Information will come home in your child's blue Trailblazer folder.
Students also continue to receive free breakfast and lunch through January. If you have not already, please complete a Free/Reduced lunch form, either hard copy or online. Our school may be eligible for Federal Title I funds based on our enrollment in the Free/Reduced lunch program. We appreciate your help with this!
This last announcement is to remind everyone that our students will have a 1/2 day of school this Friday, the 25th for Teacher Planning. Student dismissal will be at 11:10 a.m. Thank you for your partnership with WES! We're looking forward to a wonderful week!
