• The first weekend in May is signaled by the arrival of pirates and shrimp boats. The cultural history and legacy of Amelia Island is celebrated yearly through a festival dedicated to fostering historical preservation, local recognition of the shrimping industry, and cultural preservation.

    Every Nassau school student is encouraged to participate in the annual School Art Show.  The Isle of Eight Flags is phenomenally rich in history. This event provides a perfect segway to the study of history, economics, culture, and the future of our Island.
